2017 Ford fusion 1.5 L four-cylinder turbo automatic transmission 162,538 miles. Would it be OK to do a transmission drain and fill if it’s never been done before?
I would not recommend it.
That's a TON of miles and I can virtually guarantee you've got clutch material floating around in that old fluid. Those transmissions weren't good to start with.
yeah its only 4 years old. do it now. DRAIN AND FILL not flush
again next oil change at 5k and maybe another at next oil change at 10k. only do it yourself or find some cash job guy should cost like 40$ in fluid
then every 30k mile thereafter
I have a 2017 Fusion and the Dealer told me the recommended fluid change is 150,000 miles. I would check with your dealer or look at the owner's manual.
Too late now. It should have been changed every 40,000 miles.
