I have a 2004 camry 270 000 miles, stick
When the cart turns I hear rolling marble noise coming from inside the car roof. When I feel the padding of the roof I can reproduce the noise to an extent.
Is the sound of some roofing material that disintegrated ?

I wonder what would be in the headliner that could roll around. Has the headliner come down or detached? Does the car have a sunroof? I had a wasp nest once where the little critters were getting in through the sunroof. They would make noises like a hail storm when they were disturbed. I had a friend with car where they got in through the roof rack. They can get in through a hole as small as 1/8". Look very carefully as you drop the headliner. Have your escape route mapped out and be prepared to run like hell.
No sunroof, doubt it's wasps would have seen a couple by now .
