I was driving my 1987 mr2 naturally aspirated on the highway for a couple hours and I stopped to get gas and then I stalled. Tried turning the car back on and the idle was super rough and the car would turn back off. Eventually the car started idling normally again so i kept driving but then every once in a while when i was at 2-3k rpm the check engine light would come on but then it would come back off. What could be the problem?

Cel only came on in fifth gear
Started after I drove over a puddle too
Can I still pull the code?
