Hello scotty as i know you are busy with other questions, videos, and car maintenance. I have low and rough idle issues and slight hesitation when giving gas with my 2007 hyundai azera 3.8l limited. Im replacing the map sensor as its never been replaced i have 150,000 miles but a lot of highway miles back and forth to work. Maybe clogged fuel injectors? I would like to bring my car to you so you can clean them as there are a lot of jacklegs where i live in Charlottesville Va. a little trip to Tennessee would be nice.

I wouldn't replace a sensor just because it's never been replaced. It's not a consumable item like air filter.

It sounds like a fuel pump problem to me. Get the pressure tested.

@mountainmanjoe
I have already replaced the whole fuel pump assembly

ok you should probably mention things like that in your question so we're not wasting our time. I would still check the fuel to eliminate that as a cause. Next I would clean out the throttle body and look down the intake to see what it looks like.

I think Scotty is retired now and mostly makes Youtube videos.

I cleaned the trottle body as well the map sensor is the only other thing i could think of i just recently replaced valve cover gaskets. Had to take intake manifold off and replaced plenum gasket while i had everything out of the way i went ahead and cleaned the throttle plate on throttle body. Cleaned MAF sensor. Had that replaced last year because it kept throwing engine codes even after i cleaned it so i ended up replacing and codes went away and didnt come back after they cleared

ok so if fuel pressure is up to spec (some pumps are bad out of the box), and airflow is good then ignition is the next thing to look at.
