Hello scotty i just recently bought a 2003 impala base model with a 3.4 liter engine and its running a lil rough atm sounds if theres an vacume leak some but cant find it when going up hill its losing power while accelarating and possibly the idol air control valve isnt working right is there a way to test the valve on it since im currently laid off atm let me know thanks happy holidays Also whats the best way to check for a possible misfire in the plugs and wires
Well you can test all those things using a freeze frame of oscilloscope but I doubt if you're going to buy something that expensive and learn how to operate. That you could spray a little Windex mist around them at night when it's dark on the plug wires and if you see sparking you'll know they're shorting out and then replace them.
