Do you want some aspects of older cars back such as the hood ornaments, or even a vinyl top like some old American cars? How about wire wheel covers? However, I bet they’re more expensive to make.

I want tactile user controls rather than this touchscreen everything craziness.
I want cars to drive, not a mobile entertainment center.
IMHO, something is lost with the driving experience when you basically have a mobile family room in the car.
I want that too, but I know it'll never happen. At best, they'll give us some horrible simulation.

A hood ornament is of no use what so ever, vinyl tops add weight and cause pre mature rust and wire wheel covers will fly off if you corner to fast. Good riddance to them.
I'll take back what I said about hood ornaments. Some were pretty cool.
I'm with Kaizen on this one. I want to keep my eyes on the road, not a touch screen. I want to operate all my controls by feeling the buttons for them.
My mirrors are set so I can view them by moving my eyes, not my head. When backing, I'm not afraid to turn around and look.
I want to be in TOTAL CONTROL of my car, not leaving it to some computer to tell me how to drive, or worse yet, do things for me.
