Hi. I have a 2019 ford fiesta st 1.6l ecoboost  turbo manual transmission. 88k miles the engine have cracked cylinder walls. It had a upgraded turbo.

I swap the engine from a 2016 fiesta st.

Now my problem is it's hard to start like it cranks for 5 seconds then starts once it's running it's shaking as if the motor mounts are bad. I checked the timing, it's timed. Check engine codes are p0369 and p0365.  That's for exhaust side cam sensor, I swap them from the old engine and the intake side(same part) and still same code and engine shaking. Camshaft is the same part from all 1.6 ecoboost engines.

Wow! You took an engine from a 3-year newer vehicles. Software and sensors have changed since then. I wouldn't attempt something like that myself cuz there's too many things that can go wrong. But if you can find a good Ford mechanic have him hook up a scan till and see if something could be reprogrammed to make it work or whether it's just incompatible with the old software on the new engine

Wow, I would never though it could be incompatible because I thought an engine is just mechanical, sure it has sensors but those are swapped.
Now for this reprogramming from ford, does t it need to be error free of codes before the can start the process.. another question can I just swap block from my old one to this one or will that be the same thing. At this point I may need a 2019 engine or sleeve the cylinders.
