Hello Scotty, I have a 4cly 2006 Honda Accord with 89,600 miles and an automatic transmission. I did have the entire VTEC solenoid replaced back in January because the gasket was worn and leaking oil.
Through and through this car is a great car haven’t had any knocks with it. One thing that scares me though is every once in a while it was downshift hard coming to a stop. It will upshift hard sometimes when I’m accelerating slower. I do have a heavy foot by the way. I have been laying off the pedal, it has seemed to help. Could it be a shift solenoid not building enough pressure?
The manual says to change the transmission fluid the first 60,000 miles and then 30,000 miles after that. I don’t know the history of the transmission. Should I change the transmission fluid?
What do you recommend?
