Is it a good idea to use Royal Purple Synchromax manual transmission gear oil in a 2007 Honda Accord V6 6MT?

I would not risk it. Honda is very particular with their fluids. Is there any specific reason you want to go with that oil?

I heard it was supposed to make the shifts smoother

You have a manual transmission, the way gears shift mainly depends on how you change the gears and you use the clutch.
