subaru impreza?

Hi!

now i know what scotty thinks about subarus

but i'm referring to the smaller impreza, it has less power, therefore less likely to burn out the transmission, and the engine itself doesnt strain that much because for a 1.6L to put out 105 hp is no biggy, so i want to ask

toyotas and hondas cost too much used, they really keep their value in my country (not US)

and there are lots of less know to be reliable cars, i have seen imprezas last 300k-350k KM, not miles, km.

same with mazda, scotty always says how garbage they are but the mazda 3, the smaller ones hold up really well reliability speaking,i dont know if more or less then toyotas or hondas, but they are cheap, so if it means i can save a decent amount of cash, and not drive fast and revv the car, can i get an impreza and it will last?

dont care much for gas milage

Out of all the auto manufacturers, this is how I rank general overall quality and longevity, and total cost of ownership...

1) Honda or Toyota

2) Subaru or Mazda

...

X) Everyone else

quite a surprize to me!
and for the good, so why scotty's hate for these companies, i know the main issues are with the larger SUV's power units/trannys and most of his videos against them are cx9/forester

but the smaller sedans are quite durable and reliable!

i know subarus engines can actually fail if you rev them all the time, that is becuase of the main audience that buys subarus, no one drives a corolla like a maniac, you know what i mean?

Subaru has problems with boxer engines because of blown head gaskets. Flat 4-cylinder ones are not so problematic if you baby them. That way also automatic transmissions can survive.

Roadtest one and take it to a mechanic to check it out if you like it. They have great AWD.

Mazdas are getting better since they cooperate with Toyota.

Good luck!
