hey, so i just bought this car its a 2007 honda accord v6 and i notice that the rpm needle is reading wrong and i dont know what it could and when i rev it it limits me at 3000 rpm does anyone know what could be wrong. i do have leaking valve cover gasket and i need to change the steering rack and pin. i have a pictuer but i dont know how to insert the picture in this post
Well technometers just flat break down over time. I've had it happen to my Celica and I just live without it now. Fixing those tachometers is super expensive and if you really want to take you can buy an aftermarket one hook it up. Put it on a dash like a race car. They don't cost much at all. But if it actually won't go over 3,000 RPM when you're driving, you've got a problem. Now. Revin the engine up with it not actually moving many vehicles automatically cap the RPMs but if it does it while you're driving down the road you got some kind of problem
ok thanks you, the car right now is in a parking spot until i can get plates to drive it, i will be driving it to check if i cant go over 3k rpms. thanks for the help
