so I just got this 2009 Lexus Is350 from a private Dealer .
I recently cleaned out the throttle body and the check engine light came on due to me not disconnecting the battery . I disconnected the negative and reconnected it and I haven’t seen the check engine light since . I’m not sure if this problem was already occurring before I cleaned out the throttle but this is when I started to notice it . When I’m breaking towards a light or a stop sign (5-10mph) the RPMs sort of bounce no higher than 2000 Rpms but I do feel the slight harsh breaking before it sits for idle at the light .
The idle remains in a good position at the light and when driving , only happens when I’m coming towards a stop
what can I do I’m order to fix this problem
What, exactly, is a private dealer? Get it scanned for codes and go from there.
"Private dealer", I think he meant to say a small local dealer.
In a case like this a good scanner and live data is your friend. The list is very long on possible causes. Old air filter, fuel filter, injector, fuel pump, Vacuum leak, maf, pcv, purge valve, oxygen sensor, afr sensor, catalytic converter, coil pack, spark plugs ,wires, throttle position sensor, pedal position sensor, transmission, transmission control module, transmission control module harness. If personally diagnosed and fixed 15 car with same issue. Its cause was 1 or more from the above list.
