I have a 2013 Tundra crew cab SR5, 4WD. It has 223,000 km on it. It has been well cared for and is a great vehicle, for the most part.
In the bed of the truck on both sides, between the wheel wells and the tailgate, there are areas that have rusted right through (one on each side). This is the only rust on the vehicle. It has been noticeable since the truck was about 2 years old, and of course has become worse over the years. I see that some others have had this exact issue with their Tundras and have posted in other forums. I don't see any recognition of this issue from Toyota. There is no recall that I can find.
Yeah the only thing Toyota ever matched with was the frames rusting through. They didn't do anything about fenders. I said if you live in an area like Michigan when they throw a lot of salt it just eat some up
