I had a Nissan Maxima with the 3 liter VQ engine that used iridium plugs, now I have a Nissan Skyline V35 ( same motor as the US G35) and its nearly due for plugs at 120,000Km.
The manual says platinum are the go, some guys use the iridium's, and I wonder if its worth going to the ruthenium plugs instead as they seem to last even longer?
Thanks for your advice.
See below for similar discussion: I would go with the Iridiums then don’t have to think about it for another 100,000+ miles. Beyond that is just law of diminishing returns and pointless.

Glad to see this post and the current comments regarding Rurethium plugs. Think that I will stick with Iridium.
OK, thatrs settled, iridium it is.
Thanks guys.
