my Saab 9-3 2007 (2.0) with 135000 miles has no codes in the system but I’m starting to see light smoke come from under the hood
Yes this only happens at idle
If you see it at idle, lift the hood and pinpoint where it is coming from (if you can) - half the battle - then go from there. Here’s a video from Scotty that MAY also help:

This happened to my car a few years ago and when I popped my hood and looked for myself I had an upper radiator hose that had burst (along the side).
Where under the hood do you see the smoke come from?
It’s like if I’m sitting in the drivers seat I can’t tell it just appears that the smoke is coming from the part of the hood opposite of the grille basically
@dontes408 what about when you stand in front of the car with the hood open?
It’s almost like it disappears because it’s such a light smoke
Could be coolant spraying onto hot engine parts due to a leaky hose or loose clamp. I've also seen transmission cooler lines (if automatic trans) in the engine compartment leak and spray onto the engine to cause smoke.
