It seems that the only reasonably priced used cars these days are the ones with salvage titles (especially Toyotas and Hondas). Now, I have heard you say never to buy a salvage title car, but if we can be sure why the car was totalled by the insurance company, is there ever a case to buy a salvage title car? Thanks, TJS
Never mind, new to the forum and failed to search before posting. There is a lot of posts out there about this.
I would avoid them at all costs. It’s hard for the average person to find out exactly everything that was done to the vehicle and have insurance/guarantee no lingering issues remain (due to collateral damage from the original accident). Also, resale value is next to nothing if you need to get rid of it in the future. See below:
