I saw this YouTube video and had to share. I admire this guy for his ingenuity. He is casting an aluminum part for his Toyota Hiace transmission.
I thought a fair use clip from this might make a good thought bubble for one of your videos.

I do not see any problems when it comes to simple things. Just do not expect you can precisely cast something like engine block this way.
