Can you detect a seller clearing codes before the sale?

Hi Scotty

I love your videos and recommend them to my friends. My question is about using a scan tool when buying a used car. Can't the seller erase the error codes before I get there?

Yes. Every vehicle has a “time since codes cleared “ parameter that can be read.
