hey there, so i see your a huge fan of the blue driver scan tool,, i have a 2012 duramax 3/4 silverado and am looking for a good scan tool thats affordable, I dont do this for a living jusy diy, ive looked at the innova 5610,, nice,, as well as the launch x431 pro, which seem to be some real next level stuff, innova and launch have bleeding abilities which i like, and i have also looked at the gm teck2,, but i would like something to do more than gm,, so for around 200 cad, it seems i can get a pretty good one,, but which one?  currently i think i have a glow plug module issue as the light on the dash isnt coming on anymore, which sucks cause i just replaced it a year ago and had to get it programmed to the truck,, also have a no start condition when abs module is plugged in, so checking modules is a priority as well,, what do you recommend?

For some reason, your browser is generating several duplicates when you submitted your post.

Are you having network issues? If so, then please wait until you have a stable connection. If you are pressing the submit button more than once, please stop. Press it once, and wait for it to finish processing. Otherwise it creates more work for moderators to clean up, and eventually the system will automatically ban your from entering.

This is in the FAQ: https://carkiller.com/scottykilmer/postid/226842/

Not sure why you're at a loss for answers, this is about as comprehensive as it gets. Good luck.

ah yes my apologize, I pushed the button several times because it was not responding, but I can clearly see it worked every time,, my bad

No problem, just be aware of it. If you bring up another tab in your browser to check the topic listing you'll find that your post actually appears almost immediately after pushing the button, the site can just be sluggish at returning control to you.

What you're probably looking for is someone who has personal experience using scan tools on the 2012 3/4 ton Silverado diesel (you mentioned glow plugs) and can make a recommendation based on their observations. The problem is that Scotty himself may not have that specific experience and chances are no one here does. That being the case all we can really do is point you to general recommendations such as the ones in our FAQ. If there is a forum devoted to that kind of truck you may find some specifics there.

after some research I learned there are so many to choose from, I found Scotty's FAQ on scanners and what alot of info, I do know now that I need a bi directional scanner for what I need to do, but they sure can go up in price and fast as well, I did get the blue driver, I like it so far, but non bi directional, but does do alot
