I had an ANCEL AD510 scanner from 2018, I never updated the software on that and its gave me zero issues, but needed a new one for a family member. So I bought a new one this past weekend, exact same model.
But when I have it hooked up and press diagnose button and as it's doing the X mark checkmark thing as it goes through the protocols, my ABS starts flashing...everything else on the scanner works normal. The scanner has the most current software but everytime I hookup the scanner to do a diagnosis it causes ABS to flash and stay flashing unless I turn off the car. Theres no ABS light on as long as I dont hookup the scanner.
I returned it and bought a similar scanner; SEEKONE SK860. It looks like these 2 scanners were made in the same China factory together because the interface looks the exact same. I wanted a mid grade simple scanner (graphing, livedata) so I bought what was similar to the Ancel.
SEEKONE has same issue as the Ancel....i have a very basic NEXPOW scanner that works and doesnt cause my ABS to flash at all. But it's too basic feature-wise.
Anybody know what to do with scanners that make ABS flash? Why would a scanner make ABS flash? In the meantime I'm returning the SEEKONE and look at totally different types of scanners.
That's normal from what I get. On some cars, seems yours included, will flash ABS to show it's being read by a separate system. If you disconnect pin out 14 it should stop the flashing.
