Hey scotty! Love your YouTube channel.
I'm going to look at an 09 Scion XD it's the 1.8 L you recommend they're telling me that the heat light comes on when it idles too long what do you suppose that could be?

Who knows. It could be be a bad fan, or it could be a blown engine.
The real question is are you going to troubleshoot somebody else's car? The answer should be "No. Move on to the next one"

Check if the cooling fans are working. Careful though the problem is not something serious like a blown head gasket. Really it would be best to have a good mechanic check the car out before buying it.
