2012 hyundai sonata 2.0t

So long story short had motor worked on...they cut my 02 sensor wire. They put it back together but I strongly think they mixed up one of the wires. I did what I could but culdmt finding a video on the car wiring harness color coding hook up is like pulling teeth. Can anyone help me with how I can figure out how to make sure the wires are in the right place for the male 02 sensor bank1 sensor 1. Also the new plug they put in has all black wires.

I have 0 money to do anything with. And just need the color diagram for the harness

go to the public library. It doesn't cost anything.

If that was the cause then it would of been fix

if what was the cause?

And u wouldn't be here asking for help.

I didn't ask for help. {black}:idontknow:

And I downvoted casue you didn't help me with my qustion

So I took time out of my day to give you my advice, and you think I deserve to be downvoted because you didn't like the answer, even though you can't fix your car, and you are here asking US for help. Or did I get that wrong? You must think I don't have other things I could be doing instead.

The fact of the situation is that your car has a check engine light after a shop worked on it. You don't know what the wires do, but you're absolutely dead set they are the problem.  Alright. Have fun.

Please list the the problems/symptoms you are having with your car.

Such as: warning lights on the instrument panel, abnormal ABS activation, etc.

You're giving us such little information to work with. I'm asking because this is information that's important to solving your issue. Did your feelings get hurt or something?

Nope no feeling hurt just not what my question was or what I was asking help. And pushing to tell me to take it back. If that was the cause then it would of been fix. And u wouldn't be here asking for help. And I downvoted casue you didn't help me with my qustion and all the information. Is there. I need color diagram for 02 sensor bank 1 senor1.

its the second 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 1.

wouldn't that make it "sensor 2"?

I'm trying to clarify the issue. Is it #1 or #2. Why are you downvoting?

codes for the sensor heater,

heater wires should be thicker to carry more power. I don't think the polarity matters.

Anyhow why don't you give it back to them to fix? It's what you paid for isn't it?

No and I don't have the money to send it to another garage for them to waste my money why I was asking for a way to get a diagram or soemthing

I don't understand. If you don't have money that's even more reason to bring it back to business that messed up your car. They owe you. Diagram is above.

I can not take it back to the business that did it. Why I'm trying to do it myslef. And don't understand why your trying to give me a hard time your not helping anything nor helping with my issues.

How am I giving you a hard time? I explained exactly what I would do if it were my car. Suit yourself.

Yes its has a check engine light on and the code was the heater on the 02 sensor and its the second 02 sensor.

Then you need a wiring diagram for your vehicle, determine what the wires do on the sensor, and match them up with the car's wiring.

If all the sensor wires are the same color you can find ways of figuring them out with a quick internet search. For example, it took about 30 seconds to find this method for 4-wire sensors (3-wire would be similar but the sensor body is one of the grounds):

https://mechanics.stackexchange.com/questions/15387/do-i-have-to-rely-on-wire-color-to-correctly-wire-up-an-o2-sensor

Yes that is for the o2 sensor itself not the harness side

And I also look for a wiring harness diagram and couldn't find one.
And its a 6 wire 02 sensor not 3 not 4

I just need what the colors are on the harness to match them up to the 6 pin 02 sensor. Is there anything that has a march of harness color and that they are heater singal so on to match up to the color of the 02 sensor all I need

Have you tried an alldatadiy.com short-term subscription for your car to obtain wiring diagrams?

I gave you the diagram. If you want colors then you need to look at your connectors, and see which wires are plugged into the highlighted cavities , and match up the numbers. You're going to downvote this too aren't you.

This wiring diagram found with a quick internet search does not show colors but it does show where each wire from the 6-pin connector connects to on the ECM. If you can't find the colors it should be possible to trace out the circuitry. (There is a large amount of service information available on that site.)

Thank you

You're welcome, hope it helps. If I'm reading that diagram right it looks like there's actually 2 modules that sensor connects to.

A six-wire O2 sensor setup like that is a new one on me, but the newest vehicle I've ever owned is a 1999 model.

I could be wrong , but it looks like one module (ECM), but two different connectors on it (AG & BG)

Could be, it's not really clear and I'm not familiar with that car.

If the O2 sensor was not hooked up correctly you would have a check engine light and codes for the sensor heater, sensor data, or both. Is that what you're seeing?

Yes its has a check engine light on and the code was the heater on the 02 sensor and its the second 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 1.
