Hey Skotty,
I hope you can help me out. My 2011 Scion TC (125,000 miles)has been making a really weird noise lately after I drive it more than ten miles, every day. The noise is difficult to describe. Kind of like tiny little bells, or chirping. It doesn't do it all the time, and goes away when I place my foot on the brake. Two different places haven't been able to fix it. Best one of them can do, is suggest it is my cars rack, is going bad.
If I had to guess, I think the noise is coming from the back end, but I am not sure.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated,
Shane.
P.S. I love your show.
I forgot to update with what the problem was. Turned out the noise was being caused by worn brake pads. Silly me for thinking that two different mechanics might have thought to check them. Lesson learned, don't expect much from mechanics in my area.
If you want to find the noise follow the advice in my video finding the source of car noises Scotty
Lift your car and check the tires and brakes on all four wheels. Start from the rear ones.
