After doing some research, I discovered that the 2016 Scion iA model actually has a Mazda engine, like the Yaris. Is this also true of the 2013 Scion xD, or is this a Toyota engine?

The 2013 Scion xD uses a 1.8 liter engine similar to the engine available in Toyota Corollas of the same model year. In fact, all 2008-2014 Scion xD models use the same engine, the 2ZR-FE. I have a 2009 Scion xD with this engine and, so far, it has been very reliable and very economical. I bought the car used with 128000 miles last year and now have over 140000 miles, and it runs fine. I have the 5-speed manual.

Well the last one I worked on had a 2.5 l Toyota made engine most had Toyota made engines a few at Mazdas
