Have a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 WT four wheel drive 5.3 liter V8 a hundred seventy Thousand Miles bought it for $6,000 had it looked at at the shop and they said the frame is rotted and is unsafe to drive I brought it home call the round had a lot to offer welding Fab shop and they told me they could fix it for $3,000 and it will pass New Hampshire state inspection I thought this private sale and there is no lemon law in New Hampshire so my question is is it worth investing another 3,000 into this truck

I would be very cautious.
If the whole thing is rotten, then the whole thing should be replaced.
What is this fab shop going to do?
$6k was already too much for this vehicle. Don't dig yourself deeper.
