2015 Subaru Forester Almost Dies When Stopped

Scotty, I have a 2015 Subaru Forester with only 55,000 miles. Only problem is that often, when I take off from a stop sign, the car appears to stall and then seconds later, jerks forward. Can be a little scarry when uncoming traffic is bearing down on me.  Any suggestions?

Just a heads up, you posted this three times. The system is slow to respond sometimes. The system will post as many times as you click, and will do it all at once, creating more work for moderators. Please only click "Submit" once. Look for the "Working" icon in the top right hand corner. If it's there, please don't try to post again.

Also, the title is meant for short description (within a few words) not your entire problem. I fixed this for you.

This sounds like a vacuum leak. Is your check engine light on? My old Pontiac Catalina used to idle fine, but when you'd press on the gas, the engine would nearly stall, then "catch up". I replaced all of the vacuum hoses and is doesn't do that anymore.

You can also check the basics, like filters, spark plugs, fuel pressure, clean your throttle body and MAF sensor. It would not hurt do perform a diagnostic scan for codes and live data to look for issues.
