Scotty I need your professional advice on my car

I have a 2017 Toyota Corolla with 148,600 miles on it when it’s in drive it seems to be shaky when I am sitting at a drive through or a stop light or whenever the car is in drive. There are no codes that have come up, it seems to be doing this at 500rpm but when either the cooling system kicks in or the car the rpms goes above 500 it stops is this normal? if not what could be wrong?

I have the same thing going on with my corolla. It has 100k miles and it typically shakes hard when I get off the highway. I've been placing the car in neutral and it stops the shaking. I don’t know what it is either.

Load test your battery and alternator.

500rpm isn’t a normal idling rpm.

When was the last time you had your car serviced/tuned up?

I just bought the car like 3 months ago so idk what the previous owner had done to it the last time it was serviced was at a Toyota dealership a month ago for a oil change and tire rotation. What would a normal idling rpm? It only does it when it’s been running a bit but when it’s in park It seems to me idling normal

Normal should be around 800rpm give or take. 500rpm will make it shake/vibrate.. Try the steps in the video above & also @yaser ’s recommendation.

See that you AC compressor is working correctly and not putting an excessive load on the engine thereby bogging it down at idle.
