- Scotty I'm looking to buy a used lexus rx 350 for around 10 grand Where should I look online is there a web site for private sellers I'm sick of dealers with high prices I live on long island NY I'm a retired NYC firefighter I'm willing to travel to purchase vehicle all I find are shady dealers locally I'm going to put an add in retirement communities newspapers locally to see if I can find a deal in the mean time {black}:hi:

Try AutoTrader, Cargurus, and AutoTempest. You can specifically search for private sellers on these sites.
I'll try auto tempest I've tried the others but maybe I'll have more luck
also try Craigslist

Dont overlook Facebook marketplace that is where I had my private purchase breakthrough after months on all the regular sites mostly Autotrader and Cargurus. I never tried Autotempest and all of this was before I found this Carkiller community. I like your idea of reaching out to retirement communities let us know how it works out.
