scotty love your videos my sister is looking for her first car what do you recommend 2021 honda crv or 2021 dodge ram
Honda all day long. Search the board, you'll find plenty of Chrysler horror stories.
If she values her money, then go with the Honda CR-V, hands down, plus better fuel economy (mpg).
Dodge is made by Stellantis, now. They're the Three Stooges of car manufacturing. Fiat bought out Chrysler after the most recent bankruptcy in 2009, then Fiat itself went under in the 2010s, and they both got bought out by Peugeot, a French company that also makes crap cars. If she likes pickup trucks, get a Toyota Tacoma, if she likes SUVs, get the Honda. They will both way outlast the Ram.
I assume you mean a RAM pickup truck? If so, I think it is a little bit of an apples and oranges comparison between a body-on-frame truck with a car-based crossover SUV.
That said, the CR-V is by far the better built and more reliable vehicle. Yes, they do use a CVT transmission, but it's a pretty good one as far as CVT's go. It also has better fuel mileage and resale value than the RAM.
The only reason I would consider going with the RAM would be if your sister needs a vehicle that can haul heavy loads. Other than that, I would recommend - heck, I beg that she stay away. Chryslers have never been the most reliable vehicles, and with Stellantis in charge now, I'm even less confident in their product.
Just my two cents, of course.
If she does need a truck for heavy loads, go with a different brand of truck. Not GM and not Ram. Otherwise CR-V
Bob - agreed. I gave my advice based upon the two vehicles the OP mentioned, but absolutely there are better pickup choices than a Ram.
