Blue smoke on startup after cold soaked for 2 weeks

Scotty,

Love your show! I have a 2008 Toyota 4runner V6 4WD with 88K miles. I'm from Lake Charles Louisiana and due to the recent freeze I parked my car and let it sit for two weeks during the cold. When I went to start it, it blew out a small cloud of blue smoke. Only when I started it, then stopped. Only happened once and hasn't done it since. What could be the issue? Should I worry?

Thanks

If it hasn’t done it since, I wouldn’t be alarmed.

Probably not a problem, especially if it's not using oil, but if it will help you sleep better at night, do a wet/dry compression check (Scotty has a video on that).

It will probably show that there is no problem, but if you write the #s down in your owner's manual, you will have a baseline when you have 188k or 288k miles on it and want to evaluate or fix it.
