Hey guys, in a recent video Scotty briefly mentioned a solution for the broken hood struts, I believe on his '94 Celica. Or maybe it was the Matrix. Anyways, he screwed on some plastic half-tube piece that would snap into place when the hood was raised. Does anyone have any details on how it's done and what parts/materials to use?

His solution was way more elegant though. It automatically snapped into place. No need to carry and mess with additional tools.
