Do you believe in what Scotty says about Hyundai/Kia when he gets to see one in person and he has a positive opinion on it?
I am not sure where you are going with this question. Scotty has been pretty clear about the poor quality of Hyundai Motor Group products and warns viewers against them. Yes, the older ones (before 2010) were better but time and again Scotty has spoken ad nauseam not to buy Korean vehicles.
Well do you expect him to call them a fool for buying it. Seems like he is just trying to be nice.
Since I can't seem to edit my post, he has been very consistent with his posts. He might find some decent items regarding them, but overall they are not good.
yes. my bro has a 2004 hyundai elantra where the head gasket blew at 155k. He hit a deer on the freeway a couple months later. Airbags didn't go off. This I'm sure kept the car from being totalled. Also he couldn't get flashers to work. He got the body repaired. Now he's got some knocking in his engine.
Another buddy has a 2018 kia forte. piston blew at 71k on freeway. got it replaced under warranty, but that's 95% highway miles. No way it should've happened. But hurray for the 100k warranty.
both cars had regular maintenance done.
