What's good everyone. Is there a such thing as a permanent scratch remover? I washed my car today and I got annoyed with coolant stains not comin off my hood or front bumper so I thought alright ya know what imma use the back of a sponge and scrub it out. Seems to work but now I have scratches.... there any permanent scratch removers on the market?

apply wax and then buff. That should smooth it out.

Didn’t work for me, but I had scrubbed it good..

well then next step would be to get a cut polish. but personally I would just live with the scratches.

That’s what I ended up doing for the minor damage. The part where I had taken off the clear coat started fading very quickly & was an eyesore.

See below from ChrisFix:  how deep (bad) are the scratches?  You better know what you are doing or you make it worse.

Try starting with Turtle Wax White Polishing Compound and a wet rag wrapped around a chalk board erase (from the dollar store.)  This will keep the surface flat.

Sounds like a great idea

*stops laughing* Post some pictures *continues laughing*

I remember doing this exact thing to remove stubborn bird droppings, some 10yrs ago.. Safe to say, the droppings got *removed*, but I ruined the clear coat of the paint & the tail lamp lens!

Learned a costly life lesson that day..

For me, the only way was to respray the paint & clear coat, and live with the faded tail lamp lens.

How bad are your scratches? Did you scrub with lots of elbow grease?

Nah there light scratches
