Should I use Sea Foam fuel system cleaner

Seafoam, good or bad to run in full tank of gas. Toyota 2007 RAV4, 3.5 AWD 257,000 miles on it.

I hear people running seafoam in their fuel every now and then. Is it really effective to run a full can in a full tank of gas every now and then?

Some people with very carbon caked engines seem to get good results with it.

Seafoam is some magic shit. It's proven to actually clean carbon deposits out of your engine. It cleans injectors and cats as well. My brother has a 4runner that had all 4 cats go bad. He put a heavy dose of seafoam, almost 3 bottles and a tank of premium gas since it had been sitting a while and the check engine light went away. Cats seem to be fine for now. Also you supposedly can put seafoam in your engine oil.

My 2cents is that seafoam is some good shit. It can't hurt and it's only like $10.

I have used it several times, not a fan and results are dubious at best imo.  ymmv
