Hello Scotty & Tank You!
BMW 1995 318i 2 door convt, stick 4cyl. Runs well 188,000 miles.
Runs well but big problem. Lots of smoke from tail pipe. Loose antifreeze continually. No exteernal leaks on ground and has been that way for a year. Now, oil has milky stuff on dipstick, oil cap and inside valve cover. Engine gets hot quicker. Some power loss.
So, apperars to have head gasket issue, or warp head, or crack in cyl. Maybe combinationof all of these nightmares.
Cost is tremendous for all this, but retired and don t treally want a new car with high payments.
Do you suggest a Gasket Sealer for these symptoms? One with out Sodium Silicate, per your video about it and coolant in oil. If so, will it also help in a warped head or crack in cyl?
Please let me know.
Thanks JJ
Head gasket "sealers" are temporary bandaids at best and may do a better job of clogging up your cooling system than anything else. However if it's either that or the junkyard you have nothing to lose by trying but the cost of the product.
Sometimes head gasket sealers work

Sometimes they don't

Have you tried looking around junkyards? It shouldn't be too hard to find a good M43 engine, there used to be lots of these...
