2001 Toyota Sienna not charging

Topic starter

2001 Sienna. Good battery and new alternator. Alternator bench tested good. All fuses good. Not getting the required 12.2v to the exciter wire to get the alternator to start charging. More like 11.4v. I am at a loss...

All wiring checks out. all fuses, terminals... check out. The battery is at 12.8v. When I switch the ignition on, the two wires (on a 3 wire plug) that need 12.2v are getting less than 12v.

More like 11.4v

that should still be enough to get it charging.

According to specs, it is 12.2v to get the alternator charging

Check the wiring from the battery to the alternator.
