Sell my 2020 Accord with history of blown gasket for a 2013 CRV that is known.

I’m looking for some opinions on which direction you guys would go here.

I currently have a 2020 Honda Accord with about 180,000 miles. It had the head gasket replaced at around 145,000 miles, and honestly, I kind of hold my breath every time I leave the driveway. Other than the head gasket, I really haven’t done much to it. The injectors and turbo are still original, and at this mileage I feel like it’s only a matter of time before one or both become an issue and worse yet the head blows again.

I also have the opportunity to buy a 2013 Honda CR-V that my ex-wife is getting rid of. I’m actually already a co-owner on it, so I know the car and its history pretty well.

The CR-V has about 200,000 miles and does have a few known issues. It probably needs shocks, the A/C has a problem that I suspect is the compressor, and it recently threw a P0339 crankshaft position sensor code and has had an intermittent starting issue. I’m hoping that one turns out to be something relatively simple like the sensor or wiring.

I'm very mechanically inclined.  Other than those things, the CR-V is in pretty good shape.

I’m leaning toward buying the CR-V, fixing the known issues, and then getting rid of the Accord sometime in the near future. My thinking is that the naturally aspirated CR-V is just a simpler and potentially more reliable platform at high mileage than the 1.5T Accord.

Obviously, 200k miles is still 200k miles, but at least with the CR-V I know exactly what I’m getting into.

What would you guys do? Keep running the Accord, or put some money into the CR-V and make that the long-term daily?
