I lost my previous vehicle to a oil leak. My mechanic didn’t cause it but neither did he catch the issue in time of the several times I’ve had this vehicle serviced with him. I ended up buying a new vehicle because the cost of the repair was going to cost too much and at that point I just preferred to buy a new vehicle.
I bought a 2014 Ford E-250 Super Duty 4.6L V8 with 196,500 miles. All fluids were topped off and the car drove perfectly for over a 1,500 miles going back home. I brought the car to my mechanic to have it checked over and the mechanic stated it needs a tune up. I have yet to bring it for a tune up. Now a little under 2 weeks after I brought it to be checked out the car is presenting all issues out of no where.
The car is an automatic transmission. When shifting into drive from park but still holding the brake down the vehicle tries to jerk forward not only once but twice. Once is normal but twice is not.
The car also jerks really hard after accelerating from a stop. I have to drive very slow after stopping at a stop sign or red light in order for it to not jerk really hard.
when on the freeway the car also jerks as if I slightly hit the brakes when letting go of the gas.
Does anyone know why my vehicle is having this issue? What is this issue? Vehicle was driving completely fine and all the sudden starting showing issues once brought to a local mechanic. Like everyone else COVID hit me really bad and I’m just trying to get down to the bottom of this so I can act quick on this. I appreciate anyone and everyone
I'm sorry to say but since you didn't bring your truck in for a tune-up after you bought it, that's what's causing these issues.
Check the spark plugs, fuel injectors, MAF and air filter. Pray that is the issue. If not, it could be a bad catalytic converter or transmission solenoid. If that's not the case then you got something serious going on under the engine.
