When replacing a serpentine belt; is it necessary to replace the belt tensioner at the same time?

I wouldn't say it's necessary, if it's working well. It's a good time to do it though, especially if it hasn't been touched in a long time. They're usually not too expensive. It's definitely recommended if your belt is making noise though.
