Need Your Opinion And For You To Expose 3rd Party Warranty Parties Like Phoenix America And Wyn's Warranties. I Have A 2014 Ford Focus Se 2.0 l4 gas Automatic. No Codes Have Been Detected. Bought it through a small car dealer called Forbes motors in the shady part of Kalamazoo Michigan who also sold me a shady warranty which is impossible to call btw called 2 numbers just to get the right one. Went to 2 shops. The first shop said it was the brakes and the front wheel bearings but it has not fixed the problem after spending 600$ to fix it I was smart and went to a family mechanic because the dealer that gave the issues wanted a whopping 2000$. The Car Is Passed The 117,000 Mile Mark Which Is Out Of The Ford 100k Warranty Backing. The car has never been in an accident and has no rust or damage. The tranny is slipping and shaking in first gear when it heats up and upon take off drives fine in the cold already did a tranny fluid service on it still doing it. No tears in boots or anything Alignment is great. I called Ford they said the 200$ tranny diagnosis will be covered by my warranty company. The warranty company said they don't cover the tranny diagnosis. What the heck Scotty. To make things worse the warranty company wouldn't tell me if they would cover it if the first gear was to go out. Just giving me the runaround. Saying well it depends on what the dealer says. Wow! I have financed this car at 12,000$ and traded in 2 cars for it. What should I do? I owe 8,000 left and am paying on a stupid warranty that doesn't actually help. Help Scotty.
I'm afraid the dual-clutch automated "PowerShift" transmissions in those cars are just bad. The engineers knew they were bad when they were designed, but management insisted on them and knew they were bad when they were sold. There is no fix for them, just temporary band-aids. A friend of mine has a car like yours and even after multiple transmission replacements under warranty it is still bad.
There was a Ford buyback option for a while under the terms of the class action lawsuit settlement but I'm afraid that the deadline for filing a claim has already passed.
Wish there were better news on this. Excuse the language, but Ford basically screwed every person who bought a Focus or Fiesta with that transmission and they knew they were doing it.

You’re referring to an extended warranty, yes?
Scotty made a few videos regarding those. Here’s one.

IMHO, never, ever get the extended third party warranty on anything, whether it be cars, electronics, or whatever. They never seem to work out well for anyone. Save your money.
That's the Focus I know. If I were you I would look into finding an honest mechanic instead of going to the dealer.
But yeah I'm afraid the automatic transmission in those, the Powershift 6 speeds, are eco-box high tech defective junk.
