Dear Scotty, I have a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT supercab 4.0 V6 with 5 speed manual. 108628 miles. I live in eastern Tennessee. I have a Heads up display that shows RPM, MPH, throttle position, coolant temp, etc.
On the way home from work Friday, I recently had the gear shifter vibrating after downshifting to 2nd, going around a turn. It vibrated any time the engine was under load and throttle postion was over 55% but leveled out when on flat parts of the road. I made it home, killed the engine and restarted it. I hooked a code reader up to it, it showed no trouble codes. Took it for a drive. Didn't shake again. I changed the spark plugs on Sunday. Drove fine. Is this something to worry about?
Well it probably means your clutch is starting to wear so baby it when it starts to really slip then you have to replace it
