The only place I can find to get my shift control cable replaced by Wednesday is the dealer for $1400 2012 fusion they said they gotta drop the transmission it gonna take 9 hours

You probably only need the repair kit - AutoZone - Dorman #14908 - $33.99. The dealer is ripping you off.
