Hi Scotty, I found an interesting used 2020 Toyota Sequoia with V8 engine 4WD that has been garage-kept and has only 3k miles. The owner is over 80 years old and does not drive it because it is too big for him; he drives a smaller car instead.
My question is: should I have any concerns about potential oil sludge buildup inside the engine because it was not driven for many days, and if it was driven, only for short distances? If the answer is yes, how can I clean it or inspect whether it has sludge or not?
Have you still not found your elusive truck?!

I'd be concerned about the degradation of the gas, not the oil.
I wouldn't worry about it. Modern oils have detergents in them that keep sludge from building off and that's the Toyota with a V8. Those things can run forever with very little maintenance
