Hello Scotty, I’m looking at 2021 Toyota Camry that’s awd, it’s the 2.5 liter I-4 cylinder, is that a reliable car? Thanks

Nobody knows if it’ll hold up since it’s a brand new vehicle. Only time will tell.

However, going by the model’s past track record, it may be well turn out to be ultra reliable.

At the moment though, nobody knows..

The engine and transmission have only been around since 2018 so we don’t know how they will hold up long term (by long term I mean 150, 200, 250, 300,000+ miles we hear of on much older Toyota’s).  Also, some of the issues encountered in the 2018 model year for the 8-speed transmission were supposedly addressed with a software fix.  That being said, if I were in the market for a new sedan (and needed AWD) I would buy the new Camry.

You never know how the new models will hold up until some time passes. Camry's have a great track record, but nobody can predict what the future holds.
