Hey Scotty,

I am thinking of buying an infiniti m35h. It has a 3.5L V6 with an electric motor. The V6 has over 300hp. Is this car reliable at all? I saw one for 17.000€ with about 30.000 miles on it. I hope you can tell me if this thing is any good.

Short term, it should be ok. Long term I definitely would not buy it.

Why cant I buy them for long term? I mean is there any reason for that. Maybe because its a hybrid.

It being a hybrid is one reason, but Infiniti's are known to fall apart after 100k miles as they age.

For only a couple years if a mechanic says its in good shape now, it should be farely reliable.

Long term, definitely wouldn't buy a hybrid luxury Nissan.

It depends how long you want to have it.

I want to have it for like 1-2 years or maybe more lets see

For such short period of time I don't see any problem. And you probably won't make 50000 km per year.

What is the model year and mileage?

It was built in 2011 and it has 50.000km or about 30.000 miles on it

It should be an ok car for couple of years but above that, no.

I would disagree that Infinitis fall apart 100k miles, they can hold up if well taken care of, but I would stay away from the hybrid models. As they engine they get very expensive and fall apart, along with any hybrid car tbh, even from Toyota.
