If you plan to keep past the warranty period, then definitely No. We are only recommending to lease it if you really like it and must have it. Lease it (at best) and return it before the warranty expires.

Well, it depends, if you watched Scotty's latest video of a Mini Countryman, he was pretty impressed with it. If you don't mind the extra maintenance and costs over a normal Toyota or Honda, it could be OK, but they are not gonna last as the original MINIs did back in the 20th century and because Mini is owned by BMW the parts can be expensive. Maybe look at a Miata if you wanna have some fun but you want something that looks cute and can run FOREVER with not a lot of maintenance.
