I just started shopping for a nice used vehicle and had it between a Corolla Cross and Rav4, but just recently decided to go for the Rav4. Variety of factors for me but ultimately it was pricing... Rav4 is better bang for my buck. Anyways, my question is if there is anything to watch out for on Rav4s roughly 2017-2023 model years? avoid engine types, trim levels? etc... Thank you so much!

I think I would stick to the 4th generation. The engine runs louder on the 2018 and later models. They also have problems with melting trim (if you live in a sunny state).
