Im lookin to get rid of my old silverado for something more MPG friendly and a better ride in the city. i see they are made in Canada would that make it an okay purchase and is there anything i should look for that may be a problem when looking at them? Moving from a rural community to a city and wont have much use for the silverado anymore.

Sure, Lexus are nice cars. They aren't a pickups though so don't take it down farm roads or put your pigs in it. But your gal will probably like it better.
On the one hand they are "luxury" vehicles, from a "premium" brand, so maintenance costs will reflect that. On the other hand they've been fairly reliable so you shouldn't need to fuss with them too much.
