I found a used 2011 chevrolet alpheon el300, it's an automatic, it's a discontinued car and I tried to find reviews on it but I couldn't. It's from a private party, the car has 63000 miles on it. The guy is asking for 5000$ and I don't know if it will be a bad choice to get a car like that.
I'd pass on it, the quality of the Buick Lacrosse/Chevy Alpheon/GM Korea isn't great.
From what I found online, this Alpheon el300 is a Korean Daewoo (Daewoo is now formally known as GM Korea). Daewoo was less successful and popular than Kia or Hyundai.
Now, from my brief search, it seems that this Korean Chevy is actually a localized version of a Buick LaCrosse. https://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/showthread.php?46134-Alpheon-CL300-EL300-2010
So, if that is true, check into reviews for that year's Buick LaCrosse.
That's one thing. Another goes to parts availability, in future. That's also something to check into, given that there are likely to be some differences between this Korean Daewoo/Chevy/Buick and an American Buick LaCrosse.
And then have an independent mechanic check it out, visually, in terms of a ride, and scan for codes. And if you decide to buy it, bargain it DOWN. It's an odd-ball, in terms of its genealogy.
