Should I buy this car and get rid of mine?

I'm thinking about buying a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Intruder. It has 130k miles and was a cop car at LASD, California. It looks nice. What should I check and how? I own a 1989 Chevrolet Camaro RS with 51k miles that also looks nice, no rust, but that left me stranded 3 times in a year already. The VATS system failed, it got removed. Then there was the starter and AC compressor who also failed and left me stranded each time. They got also replaced. The transmission doesn't shift smoothly from 1st to 2nd also.

Are you buying the Crown Vic as a project car?

If no, you'd be better off trying to fix your Camaro because buying former police vehicles would not be a wise choice.

Former police cars (just like fleet cars) are used very harshly so they aren't a good choice if you want to for a daily driver. If you need a daily driver consider older model year Corolla or Civic (Camry or Accord for something bigger).
